Iker Lauroba - Presentation
Iker Lauroba is a Basque singer-songwriter and composer, whose acoustic compositions involve the collaboration of various local musicians and authors. All of the songs are personal, sentimental and emotive and are tinged with a certain characteristic whimsical humour and surrealism. The lyrics, which are all written in Basque, conjure vivid images of scenes and moments of great significance for the author: some tell stories, others are like conversations, advice or reflections, and many of them touch on classic themes, like falling in and out of love, thinking about the future and making the most of the present. While some of the lyrics are written by Iker himself, others are written by the acclaimed Basque poet and novelist Harkaitz Cano. Iker Lauroba plays regularly in the Basque Country and will be touring Central Europe later this year.
